Make your Primavera schedules stand out with this handy colour scheme tip!

Come the end of a month, project controls practitioners the world over are swamped with the usual monthly reporting processes. If you're like me, sometimes we all need a little help with our reports to make them look better than your average finger painting or 1980's outputs.

But one look on Pinterest  for RGB colour schemes and you can open a world of Primavera P6 creativity this month!

Suppose you find the following colour pallet:

Capture2

You will notice that there are numerous RGB combinations that you can transfer to P6. Here is how you can do this:

  1. In the Activities view of P6, right click the activity table and select Group and Sort
  2. For each Level of the WBS, double click the colour shown under Font & Colour.
  3. Click on the Colour to select a new colour
  4. Click on Define Custom Colours
  5. Enter the RGB value from your colour pallet into the Red, Green and Blue fields. For example:

Simply repeat this process until you have a selection of new grouping bands with your new colour scheme!
