30 Years in 30 Weeks: 2013 - Turnarounds Galore

April 2012 had seen company Director Luke Betros take on a full-time role, having previously worked for AECOM at the Incitec Pivot (IPL) Plant at Mount Isa. During the later part of 2012, Luke had played a pivotal role in establishing GBA's presence as project control SME's on the "Turnaround Scene". So it was only natural that by 2013, GBA Projects had started to gain a reputation for specialising in Turnaround systems and scheduling.

Port Bonython

At the start of 2013, GBA Projects had continued it's support to both Santos, Dyno Nobel and IPL providing scheduling support to the Mount Isa Acid Plant, Moranbah Ammonium Nitrate Plant, Port Bonython Processing Plant, Moomba and Ballera Gas Plants, along with a host of satellites within the Cooper Basin.

As with every other year, our staff were well and truely under the pump, delivering services to numerous projects including:

  • Water Proofing the West
  • Gawler Rail Electrification
  • ICT Component of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital
  • Facilities Management Planning for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital
  • Shute Harbour Supplimentary EIS submission and
  • a portfolio of oil and gas projects (over 150+) in the cooper basin

It was also a critical year for the company with Managing Director Greg Betros and Senior Associate David Lynch on a FIFO regime with clients in Singapore.
